What’s the difference between regular oil and “high-mileage” oil?

“High-mileage” oil does differ in formulation from traditional motor oil. It provides superior protection against oil ”burn off” in higher mileage engines by utilizing special base oils. It also contains specially formulated seal conditioners and additives that reduce deposit formations, which can lead to compression loss. High-mileage oil would be a good choice if your car is more than 5 years old and has more than 75,000 miles on it.
